If you’re a thrill-seeker or a fan of all things spooky, Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) at Universal Orlando Resort is the can’t-miss event of the fall! As one of the world’s premier Halloween celebrations, HHN transforms Universal Studios Florida into a maze of haunted houses, scare zones, and electrifying entertainment, and personally, it’s one of my favorite things to do throughout the year. Here’s everything you need to know to plan an unforgettable night of frights in 2025.
2025 Event Dates
Halloween Horror Nights Orlando runs select nights from August 29 through November 2, 2025. The event typically kicks off at 6:30 PM and runs late into the night, with specific dates and times available on Universal Orlando’s official HHN calendar.
Early Admission & “Stay and Scream” Options
Want to maximize your scares and minimize your wait times? Here’s how:
Early Admission
Universal Studios Florida day guests with valid theme park admission and a separate HHN ticket can access select haunted houses before the general public.
Early admission typically begins around 5:00 PM from designated holding areas inside the park.
“Stay and Scream” Zones
Purchase both a daytime Universal Studios Florida ticket and an HHN event ticket, or you can purchase a “Scream Early” ticket which just allows you access to the Stay and Scream holding areas, without a daytime ticket.
At park closing, head to a designated “Stay and Scream” holding area (like Springfield or New York). These areas are subject to change; for example, last year, Springfield USA was not a selected Stay and Scream area, which was disappointing).
You’ll be among the first to enter the haunted houses when HHN officially opens, beating the crowds at the front gate.
Themed Food & Drink Highlights
No HHN experience is complete without indulging in the event’s limited-edition treats and drinks. For 2025, expect:
Sinister Sips: Past years libations include “Blood Moon Margarita,” “Ghoul Juice,” and “Pumpkin Patch Punch.” More information will be released in the coming months providing details regarding this years offerings.
Frightful Bites: The menu for 2025 has not yet been released, however this will usually include staples like pizza fries and twisted taters.
Vegan & Gluten-Free Options: Universal continues to expand its inclusive menus, with plant-based and allergy-friendly selections at most food stands.
Nightmare Fuel Show
Back by overwhelming demand, the Nightmare Fuel show promises jaw-dropping pyrotechnics, aerial performances, and pulse-pounding dance numbers. This high-energy spectacle is included with your HHN admission and runs several times nightly in the Fear Factor Live venue. Arrive early—seating fills up fast!
VIP Experiences & “Behind the Screams” Tours

Skip the lines at all haunted houses and select attractions.
